The USB Implementers Forum, who essentially regulate the manipulation of USB of all kinds, have ruled that if the Palm (NSDQ: PALM) Pre is caught pretense to be an iPhone again in ordering to weasel its way into iTunes, they would be breaching the organization’s rules. The reprecussions of such action aren’t really discussed, but it’s easy to imagine Apple leverage the USB Implementers Forum’s position to turn some legal screws. Odds are webOS 1.2 volition be arriving tomorrow, potentially with another iTunes fix – I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what sort of sparks volition fly.
