Verizon starts updating Motorola DROID fleet to Android 2.0.1

Well that didn’t proceeds very long. Verizon (New York Stock Exchange: VZ) announced last workweek that they would be wheeling out an Android 2.0.1 update for their Motorola (New York Stock Exchange: MOT) DROID before the end of December. We’re now barely in the second base workweek of December and Verizon has already started sending out over-the-air travel updates to its DROID fleet. If you haven’t yet gotten a presentment on your DROID, asking you to update your handset, sit tight, the update will get to you eventually.

The Android 2.0.1 update brings with it a bevy of enhancements and bug fixes. Chief among them is a bandage that should shuffle the DROID’s autofocusing camera focus more accurately. Shot-to-shot time has also been shortened, which agency you’ll be less likely to misfire that critical photo as you waiting for your DROID to recover from the last photo. The update also improves voice call option quality and Bluetooth functionality.

Google (NSDQ: GOOG)® tangency meeting has been updated to accommodate sevener-dactyl numbers. Visual Voice Mail notices now arrive instantaneously. The corporate calendar appliance user interface is updated.
