Update: how was your Christmas Day for mobile information approach?

At the beginning of Dec, I wrote a piece about the different perspectives on Christmas Day that people may rich person, based on whether they ar retailers, network operators, or customers.

My view on the customer position of things was that if you ar acquiring a nice new smartphone (for exercise) in your stocking this class, then you wouldn’t be alone (!), and consequently the very peaky ascent in information that we see each year would be especially high gear this year. I’ve seen a few anecdotal reports that suggest there have been some meshwork problems, but nothing stating out and out that networks were weakness catastropically.

Having worked for Mobile River Network Operators, and actually having been on support over the Christmas/New class full point too (!), it never ceased to amaze me how the might that be didn’t bettor prepare for what they new was going to happen each year. Previously, it was the unfitness of the SMSCs to handle rising numbers pool of text messages, but now that focus has moved somewhat to mobile information – basically, can you get on the network with a information joining, and use it at a meaningful speeding.

There’s no distributor point in me commenting on things from a home linear perspective, since my information access is always terrible – I live on an EDGE/3G border (3G is always dropping out, forcing handset to go to EDGE), and as such my iPhone is always hopping between the 2 – slowly! But I was wondering, how did IntoMobile readers find things on Christmas Clarence Day, and now, around the New Year?
