NTT DOCOMO, INC. announced today that it has developed a paradigm multi-band might amplifier that accommodates octet frequency bands between 700 MHz and 2.5 GHz, pavage the means for lightweight, all-in-single mobile phones capable of standalone radio communication theory of different standards, including the forthcoming duplicate-fasting LTE standard as well as existing W-CDMA and GSM.
Power amplifiers ar used in mobile phones to step-up signal power up to levels required for radio communication.
As conventional multi-band phones must employment a separate ace-band amplifier for each banding, the sizes of these phones will inevitably step-up to accommodate new frequency bands for LTE services being launched in markets worldwide, including Japan.
DOCOMO’s new amplifier, which offers amplification and yield might equivalent weight to those of conventional ace-banding amplifiers, paves the way for multi-standard mobile phones that are generally no larger than existing models. It enables 8-banding procedure by employing matching circuits whose absolute frequency characteristics are controlled by multiple semiconductor device switches according to the required absolute frequency band.
DOCOMO volition present its new amplifier at the 2010 IEEE Radio and Wireless Symposium in New siege of Orleans, Louisiana, United States, from 10:30 AM on January 11.
