Since RIM went all Pac-Man on Chalk Media, we’ve been waiting to see what exactly RIM would to with corporate podcasting troupe, and today’s update update is the first fruit of that relationship. If you haven’t heard of them before, Chalk basically enables managers to send pertinent media (video recording, audio, or otherwise) to their teams’ BlackBerrys, hold an eye on who has seen what, and gather feedback through testing mechanisms. With version 5.4, Chalk’s enterprise-grade mobile media broadcast medium service has burrowed deeper into the BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) Enterprise Server by allowing admins to to variety polling intervals for sync management through the native BES interface. Even remainder-users tin rich person some control over pushcast policies. New SSL encoding has upped the standard for pushcast security measures, and they’ve also included more traditional podcasting technology via RSS, with the added fillip of being able to designated approved subscribers. Finally, support for OS 5.0 will let Chalk swordplay nice with the latest and greatest BlackBerrys available. Hit up Chalk for more information.
