Broadcom (NSDQ: BRCM) announced that it has added support for the recently adopted Bluetooth v3.0 + HS (High Speed) specification across its Bluetooth and InConcert jazz band chips and modules. Among Broadcom’s products that have achieved Bluetooth v3.0 qualification are the BCM2070, BCM2075, BCM43225 and BCM4325 chips, along with the BCM94312 one-half mini-circuit board Bluetooth + wireless local area network solvent.
The company’s engineering is now in production with ODM partners in a mini-PCIe jazz band module for notebook computer computers and a combo ace chip based SIP module targeting smartphones.
In other words, we could see first base Bluetooth 3.0 handsets hitting the market at some later distributor point this year, or at least me hopes so. Scrap that – we know Samsung whitethorn be the first company to release the Bluetooth 3.0-compliant phone. And as you know, Bluetooth 3.0 promises to deliver 10 multiplication the transmission speeding over previous Bluetooth specifications, and some other sang-froid things as wellspring.
