Good ol’ LG and their appointment policy – any aircraft carrier tin call their phones however they wish. Actually, it’s not just LG, some other handset makers including their “countryman” Samsung does similar things, in an effort to appeal to the hustler… I guesswork.
But this is an LG story, so we’ll joint with their examples. For example, the LG KS360 is known as Neon in the U.S. (AT&ere;T (New York Stock Exchange: T)) and Tribe in Italian Republic (TIM). Their Android-powered GW620 smartphone sells under the InTouch Max sword in the UK and (again) in Italian Republic as – LG LinkMe. The last mentioned is the distributor point of this article – the LG GW620 is now available in Italian Republic as LG LinkMe.
Even though it has a different name, there were no changes under the hood. Specs include a 3-in HVGA resistive (as opposed to capacitive) touchscreen, Android 1.5, HSPA and WiFi connectivity, 5-megapixel camera with flash, A-GPS, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headset jack, and a microSD enlargement one-armed bandit (1GB card comes in the box).
The price you ask? It’s 299 EUR, which is about $405…
