Good news, everyone! Sprint (NYSE: S) has posted on their community forums that the webOS 1.4 update we’ve been hearing so much about lately “should happen late this eventide“, and accidentally posted some of the features and bug fixes Palm (NSDQ: PALM) Pre users volition be able to enjoy – namely, Flash 10 support! The jade-in itself North Korean won’t be available from Adobe immediately, so we’ll have to sit tight, but considering we’ve already seen it running on Android, Flash on mobile probably just needs a few finish touches. Without further bustle, here’s the webOS 1.4 lineament list that was posted and promptly removed:

Fixes:

Time Zone germ fixedNetwork metre sync bug fixed to reflect accurate Network timeBluetooth car-kit passage to device correctedNo EV icon germ fixed (random)Random web browser formatting bugs fixedFixed bug that incorrectly displayed Sprint when actually was Digital RoamingMissing Contact issuance specifically with swap down to 1.2.9.1 or less

Feature Updates:

Phonebook Transfer (import & export)Adds Video Capture capability & editCalendar EnhancementsMessaging EnhancementsImproved Performance (Phone & CAL)Email EnhancementsNotification EnhancementsAdds Adobe Flash 10.0 (Pre Only)

NOTE: The 1.4 software adds the ability to use the Flash 10.0 Adobe plug-in which will be available shortly from the Palm App Catalog.

Video transcription is another big lineament a draw of webOS users volition be happy to see, and the daily round of full general improvements and fixes is good to hold things polished, but it’s doubtful that a simpleton OS update will turn around Palm’s rough financial bandage – no sir, that’s something only aggressive merchandising and a brand new product tin can even begin to localisation. I’d give them another after part to see how fountainhead the Pre and Pixi Plus manage to do, but I’d presume that as incremental upgrades, they North Korean won’t significantly variety Palm’s stream course.

In any case, anyone on Sprint should hold an optic on their webOS phones tonight for an update!
