The National Trust has launched a free people iPhone app to help you discovery your nearest place to visit, wherever you are in the nation. With hundreds of properties and many of the UK’s favorite slide and countryside locations in our care, the app gives you the chance to find basic selective information about places, opening times, car parking and directions.
The app uses the tech interior your iPhone or iPod touching to discovery National Trust places and spaces near you, or helps you looking further afield to plan picnic spots, en-road stopover-offs or other destinations on trips away from habitation. Developed by an in-theater squad of developers and designers, the app is available now to download for free people from the iTunes app store.
Phillip Ludgate, Head of Digital Media at the National Trust, said: ‘I’ve always been amazed by the fact that wherever you ar in the nation, you’re never more than 40 miles away from a place looked after by the National Trust. Our challenge is to find ways of demonstrating this to a wider audience – and the app is the perfect means to reach citizenry who might never have come to the Trust before, or who mightiness not realise the breadth of places in our care. Over the next weekend we’re first step the doors of hundreds of our places for free people through our Bonus Time weekend, and there’s no better means to discovery the places near you than by exploitation the new app.’
