southland Korean operators look for a spliff venture in Republic of Poland

South Korea’s 2 largest mobile operators, SK Telecom (NYSE: SKM) and Korea Telecom (KT), are apparently looking for a possible joint speculation trade in Poland. According to a reputation on Polish website, thenews.pl, the two companies are looking to either acquire the country’s twenty-five percent-placed 3G specialist P4 (Play), or grab a firearm of the market leadership Polkomtel, which has commonwealth owned investors such as electricity usefulness PGE (21.85%) and oil house PKN Orlen (24.39%) — which on their end are look to offload their stake in the hustler.

According to Wireless Intelligence information, Polkomtel’s Plus is the nation’s largest mobile operator with an estimated 14 1000000 connections at the remainder of last year, representing 32% of the market. Orange holds the second base place with 13.7 1000000, Era is the third with 13.5 million, and P4’s Play – fourth with 2.9 million connections.

As a sidenote, Play has recently announced it is look for new investment. The troupe started operations in 2007, and is now the largest 3G hustler in Eastern EC…
