China Mobile, Far EasTone team-up to trial TD-LTE network in Formosa

PRC Mobile River (NYSE: CHL) and Formosa’s Far EasTone rich person signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to jointly build a trial net based on TD-LTE engineering in Taiwan. According to The Taipei Times, the correspondence is the latest effort by the 2 operators to smithy closer ties after the Hokkianese governing shoemaker’s last year blocked Far EasTone’s architectural plan to sell a 12% post to the Chinese troupe.
The 2 firms said that the partnership will “help local companies that are developing devices supporting TD-LTE engineering to save costs and testing time.”
PRC Mobile River, which is the worldly concern’s largest mobile operator in terms of figure of subscribers, has long seen Formosa as a test-bed for TD-LTE, which is chosen to succeed its homegrown TD-SCDMA-based 3G net in PRC.
The Taipei Times also noted that China Mobile River has also teamed up with another local anesthetic 3G mobile hustler (Vibo Telecom) shoemaker’s last class to operate a similar TD-LTE lab in Taipei.
