Alcatel-Lucent (NYSE: ALU) isn’t actually known for its mobile publicizing initiatives so we were kinda surprised to learn they’re launching their own mobile publicizing answer called Optism. As expected, the solution is aimed at mobile operators to enable them to create ad quad and provide advertisers with targeted audiences. In other actor’s line, Alcatel-Lucent is aware its clients (carriers) ar about to be turned into dump bagpipe and it wants to help them get some additional revenues. In that sense, Optism brokers relationships between mobile operators and advertisers, simplifying the media merchandising procedure for aggregated operator inventory.

At the heart of the solution is a scalable, hosted advertising chopine, offering go-to-marketplace documentation for operators, combined with media sales and campaign direction for advertisers.

Among the first base Alcatel-Lucent’s clients (or that’s partners) is Orange River Republic of Austria, and we’ve no doubts if the program proves successful for the French Republic Telecom-owned arm, they [Orange] whitethorn extend it to other markets, as well.

And that’s about it. You tin get more selective information about Alcatel-Lucent’s mobile advertising services from a dedicated page on their website, and there’s also a special website for Optism.
