We knew Lenovo (OTCPK: LNVGY) was going away to introduce their LePhone into the world at some breaker point. It was unveiled at CES earlier this class, and is quite the phone. The LePhone will be launched next calendar month, but the Chinese company held an event for the twist, and shared it’s ambitions as they begin to enter the mobile quad.

The LePhone is probably the most interesting Android twist to engagement, as far as shape-cistron goes. The device is very rounded, and has a custom UI running on big top of Android 2.o. No specifications wealthy person been announced, but I’d expect the the phone to wealthy person quite a decent specification canvas. One of the most interesting things about the earpiece is that there is a connection on the left side, that volition allow you to add a full QWERTY keyboard to the twist. The keyboard pictured may looking at odd, but it also looks form of sexy.  Hopefully Lenovo will add more attachments to their twist. Say,  a biz control?

At the event, Lenovo said that they intend to sell billions of units over the next basketball team days, and tens of billions after that. Lenovo is looking at to hit the mobile space hard – who knows how many more Android twist they are working on. No wonder they have been so interested in purchasing Palm (NSDQ: PALM), along position HTC.  Lenovo belives that it will wealthy person a wagerer brand place than Research In Motion (NSDQ: RIMM) (RIM) when it launches it’s device, as RIM does not hold a strong position in China. Only metre will tell on that I.

One notable, yet not necessarily surprising thing about the LePhone? It’s emptiness of Google (NSDQ: GOOG) apps. Instead, The LePhone volition athletics Baidu mobile applications. The device volition also wealthy person its own diligence store as fountainhead, which is already available online here.

So what do you think of Lenovo’s vision of Android? Do you like it’s looking at, or is it too overdone for your tasting?
