Hear that? What that could mean value? Honestly, we’ve no idea, but we do know <a href='http://the-best-phone.com/2009/10/27/vonage_updates_its_mobile_oblation_new_apps_available_for_blackberry_iphone_and_ipod_touch.html’ title=’Vonage updates its mobile oblation: New apps available for BlackBerry, iPhone and iPod Touch’>Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) has a job posting for a spot that could aid the company do just that. Hera’s an excerpt from the post:

The Core Platform squad within Apple’s Core OS organization is looking for a talented and inspired coach to jumper cable a squad focused on bring-up of iPhone OS on new chopine. The squad is responsible for first gear floor platform architecture, microcode, core drivers and bring-up of new hardware chopine. The squad consists of talented engineers with experience in hardware, firmware, IOKit drivers, security measures and platform computer architecture.

This spot requires a very technical and custody-on drawing card, experience in working closely with hardware squad and a deep reason of bare alloy software. You mustiness be a highly self-motivated individual who seeks to create a dynamic and creative team environment in which old problems are solved in new and innovative shipway.

Before you go too crazy about the prospects of eyesight other, non-Apple made devices running the iPhone OS, let me point few things:

Apple is known for its everything-but-open policies. No other computer runs Mac OS, at least not officially. Likewise, I doubt any non-Apple merchandise will tally iPhone OS. What may happen is that they’ll use the iPhone OS for their other products such as Apple TV or some low-remainder computers (iPad with a keyboard?).

On the other hand, Cupertino folks whitethorn realize there’s more money to be made from the OS itself and licensing, though that’s kinda weird assumption presumption just how Steve like beautiful objects… Any thoughts?
