As we looking back to the beginning of Apr, we see Microsoft launch their socially-connected handsets: the Kin One and Kin Two. Two very different, distinct devices in of themselves, they ar either woefully ignored or highly anticipated. If you fall into the class of the latter, then we’ve got some goodness newsworthiness for you. We’ve got an effigy of an internal Verizon reputation that shows the dates for pre-order, and functionary launching onto the Verizon meshwork.

Microsoft told us at the launching of the 2 devices that they would be launching in May, along with Vodafone across the pool later in the year, but we didn’t imagine it would be this soon. According to the images, the Kin One and Kin Two ar both departure up for pre-order on May 6th, on the Web, and then becoming available in all channels on May 13th. That agency that it’ll be available online, in Verizon stores, and third-party retailers on that date.

So, you’re only four years away from being able to drop your hard earned money on the next handsets from Redmond. While the Kine One (formerly known as the Turtle) whitethorn be single of the more interesting look handsets we’ve seen in awhile, we tin’t aid but think that the Kin Two is going to be somewhat of a hit. With that 3.4-inch capacitive touchscreen, the 8MP camera on the backrest, and 8GB of flashbulb store, it’s definitely not the worst earphone in Verizon’s line of work-up. Let us know in the comments if you architectural plan on pre-order, or picking one of these sociable networking devices at all.

[Thanks, Dave!]

Judging from the many reviews I’ve read on the net, plus a few discussions with my American English IntoMobile colleagues, the already 9.7 in iPad is hard enough to character on, plus it’s freaking heavy.

As always when it comes to Digitimes, this rumor should be taken with a grain of salt.

HTC has seemingly fallen in love with Google (NSDQ: GOOG)’s Android mobile operating organization – they’ve been launch Android phones left field and right, as of late – but the troupe that got its beginning construction smartphones powered by Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT)’s Windows Mobile chopine hasn’t forgotten its roots. At Mobile River World United States Congress, HTC chief executive officer Simon Peter Chou reiterated his company’s committal to all things Windows Phone. That’s goodness newsworthiness for Windows Phone fans, especially considering the impressive new Windows Phone 7 Series drug user interface that Microsoft demonstrated at Mobile World Congress.

“Our committal to Microsoft has never changed,” said HTC Chief Peter Chou, adding that HTC is “very committed to Android as wellspring. We are very long-terminus committed to those 2.” It’s open that HTC is retention their options open (and why shouldn’t they – Android is gaining steam and Windows Phone has proven that Microsoft still has a future tense in the smartphone space).

Last week, HTC unveiled triplet new phones in Barcelona, two of which were Android phones. The unity Windows Mobile gimmick that was announced is a miniaturized variant of HTC’s HTC HD2, aptly called the HTC HD Mini. The chomp-sized Windows Phone volition run on Windows Mobile River OS 6.5.3, which basically represents the shoemaker’s last stop on the upgrade roadmap for “Windows Mobile.” The good newsworthiness for Windows Mobile fans is that, departure forward, HTC will apparently make room for Windows Phone 7 Series handsets in their increasingly Android-heavy smartphone lineup. HTC’s commitment to Windows Phone should also be goodness newsworthiness to Microsoft, as it will guarantee Microsoft a sizable partner willing to pay licensing fees to use the Windows Phone platform.

We had a chance to swordplay around with a prevue of Windows Phone 7 Series, and we have to give Microsoft due course credit for creating a truly innovative UI that provides an intuitive drug user experience. Check out the video here and let us know what you think!

Actually, they said that volition be spot at launching but will be changed in due course of action. Here’s what they said:

“Microsoft and Adobe ar workings closely together. While the newest version of Windows Phone won’t support Flash at initial handiness, both companies are working to include a browser plug-in for the full Flash player in future versions of Windows Phone. More details will be shared at Microsoft MIX next month.”

Are Flash’s twenty-four hours numbered? HTML5 is around the street corner and I do believe more and more companies will rely on W3C’s criterion instead of Adobe’s proprietary matter…

The Thor biz is in the AppStore and it doesn’t have to do anything with the upcoming megahit movie, exercise set to hit the theaters (if everything goes as planned) in 2011. Rather, it’s a animated cartoon-ish biz, based on a CGI animated funniness lineament from Icelandic studio apartment CAOZ.

The biz is a side-scrolling platformer, which sees you in-directly controlling Thor as he runs through 13 levels across Little Joe elemental worlds (ice, air travel, earth and firing). It’s your “line of work” to collect all the lightning bolts and energy orbs that you spot on your way. You do that by swiping a finger on what’s effectively a power-up, only to manipulation it later to bash things. In addition, you’ll have to jumping across obstacles, and you do that with a I tap.

Of course of action, there ar big bosses to rhythm at the end of levels, combo bonuses and additional might-ups which, for instance, could slow down the time to shuffle your efforts easier…

If all this sounds entertaining to you, record hop over to this varlet (iTunes) and grab the Thor game for 99 cents.
